KSA Seawater Desalination Project

This project is developed by Saudi Arabian Gas Field Development Company. As a key infrastructure project planned by Saudi Arabia to support gas field production and meet local energy and water resource demands, its main function is to convert seawater into usable freshwater through seawater desalination technology, serving industrial production and water needs of surrounding areas.

Jiangsu Ryan Electric Co., Ltd. has supplied 60MVA of oil-immersed transformers, which are installed in harsh desert environments. Each transformer has a maximum capacity of 9,000kVA and a maximum primary side voltage of 34.5kV, complying with IEEE/IEC/ANSI/NEMA standards.
